Resident Evil 9 Requiem Trophy Guide

Welcome to our Resident Evil Requiem Trophy Guide, where you can find everything you need to 100% the game.

Summary

  • Estimated time to platinum: 20-25 Hours.
  • Difficulty: 4/10
  • Missable trophies: 40 (All non-story-related trophies are missable. However, collectibles carry over across all save files, so be sure to create manual saves at key points throughout the game in case you need to return for anything you missed.)

Intro

The process of obtaining the Platinum in Resident Evil 9: Requiem is very similar to recent entries in the series. There are a large number of collectible-related trophies, including all 75 Files, all 25 Mr. Raccoons, all 3 BSAA Containers, and opening all 5 Safes. Since there is no chapter select, all of these are missable. However, collectibles carry over across all save files. Because of this, it is highly recommended to create a manual save at the start of each major area so you can easily reload if you miss something. You will need a minimum of three playthroughs for the Platinum. While it is technically possible in two, a three-playthrough approach is strongly recommended for a smoother experience. Make sure not to spend your Challenge Points (CP) on bonus content such as Concept Art or Models until after your three main playthroughs. CP will need to be used strategically, particularly to unlock the Rocket Launcher and Infinite Ammo for your Insanity difficulty run.

Step 1. All Collectibles & Missable Trophies Playthrough.

Play through the game while following our All Collectibles Guide. You can play on any difficulty for this run. Playing on Casual is recommended, as this is enough to unlock Insanity difficulty. During this run, you should also aim to obtain as many missable trophies as possible. All of them are noted within the guide above, but below is a list of the key ones you should pay special attention to:

Step 2. Speedrun, No Healing & No Blood Collector.

Next is the 4-hour speedrun playthrough. During this run, you should also aim to obtain the trophies for completing the game without healing and without using the Blood Collector. To make things easier, you should now have enough Challenge Points (CP) to purchase the Infinite Knife (Koketsu) for Grace before starting this playthrough. This run should not be overly difficult. By now, you should already be familiar with the main route through the game. Unlike many previous Resident Evil titles, this entry contains very few puzzles, making it very manageable to complete in under three hours. If you would like to track your time, you can do so by navigating to: Challenges > Speed Demon

Step 3. Insanity Playthrough.

For your final playthrough, you will need to complete the game on Insanity difficulty. This is the hardest difficulty setting, featuring increased enemy numbers and faster enemy movement. However, by this point you should have enough Challenge Points (CP) to purchase both Infinite Ammo and Infinite RPG Ammo. With these unlocked, this playthrough becomes significantly easier. Grace has Infinite Ammo for the Requiem, while Leon can obtain the Rocket Launcher with Infinite Ammo from supply boxes that appear from the very start.

Step 4. Purchase every Model & Concept Art.

After completing all three playthroughs, you should have more than enough Challenge Points (CP) to purchase all Models and Concept Art from the Bonus Menu.

Gold Trophy

This can be obtained in the Care Center while playing as Grace. In the Blood Lab, you will find the Blood Collector and the Blood Specimen (Denatured). You will face her in the Basement area of the Care Center and again later in the Water Treatment Plant. During the first encounter, you may be low on Requiem ammo, making it more difficult. It is much easier to obtain the trophy in the Water Treatment Plant, as the game provides you with a few Requiem bullets shortly before the encounter.

After the first zombie drops its weapon, you will see a prompt allowing you to throw it at the nearby enemy. This can be done as early as your first playable section as Leon in Wrenwood. One of the first zombies you encounter in the street is carrying a weapon, making this an easy opportunity to unlock the trophy.

While playing as Leon, you will occasionally receive an R2 prompt to finish off an enemy that is at low health. Perform this action three times to unlock the trophy.

Gold Trophy
Master Craftsman
Master Craftsman

Unlock this trophy by crafting every available item as Leon. There are 8 items in total, all of which are available from the start of the game. Crafting progress carries over across all save files. Gold Trophy
Bang For Your Buck
Defeat at least three enemies with a single Requiem shot

For this trophy, you need to defeat three zombies with a single shot from the Requiem. The Requiem is Leon’s revolver, which is later passed to Grace and eventually returned to Leon. There are several opportunities to earn this throughout the game. A good location is at the top of Willis Tower, during the section where you must turn two valves to lower a lift. Wait for three zombies to line up and fire through them with a single shot.

Gold Trophy
Cat Got Your Tongue?
Cut the tongue off a Licker B2 using the hatchet

For this trophy, you must parry a Licker’s tongue attack while controlling Leon. Press L1 just before the attack connects to successfully parry it. Lickers only begin appearing in the final area of the game. A good location to attempt this is in the Bioweapon Repository 12 room in the Ark area.

Gold Trophy
Order Up!
Defeat the chef in the care center in the main story

For this trophy, you must defeat the Chef. This is a large enemy first encountered in the Kitchen of the Care Center. If you do not defeat him there, he will continue roaming the area. On lower difficulties, a single headshot with the Requiem is enough to take him down. Make sure to defeat him before leaving the Care Center, as you cannot return later.

Gold Trophy

In the Care Center, there are two Singer enemies. One can be found in the “Bar & Lounge,” and the other is located in the “Conference Room.” Defeat both of them to unlock the trophy.

This trophy can be obtained in the Waiting Room of the Care Center while playing as Grace. First, sneak over to the vase on the right side of the room and smash it by pressing X.
