Terrible Lizards is a first-person horror parkour game and the debut title from WDR Studios, a brand new indie studio founded by the creators of JT Music, the YouTube channel best known for its video game inspired songs. It launches on October 29 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and if you’ve seen even a single trailer, the Five Nights at Freddy’s comparisons are pretty much unavoidable. Swap the haunted pizzeria for a dusty roadside dinosaur park, throw in a healthy dose of wall running, and you’ve got the general idea.

Valor Mortis is the first wholly owned IP from One More Level, the Polish studio behind the Ghostrunner games, and it’s a soulslike with a pretty big twist. Set in a supernatural take on 19th-century Europe, you play as William, a resurrected soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée who fights with weapons from the Napoleonic era alongside a handful of supernatural powers. The twist is that the whole thing plays out in first person, with some light parkour thrown into the mix. That makes a lot of sense once you remember who made it….
