This guide will show you where to find every collectible in Legacy of Kain Defiance Remastered. These are the Health Talismans, TK Talismans And Arcane Tomes.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered contains a total of 80 collectibles, which are divided into three types:

24 Health Talismans
16 TK Talismans
40 Arcane Tomes

All collectibles are missable and must be collected during a single playthrough. While Arcane Tomes do carry over when using Chapter Select after completing the game, the trophy does not appear to unlock if they are collected this way.

In the original version of the game, there were only 20 Arcane Tomes. The Remastered version adds additional tomes that unlock new character skins, increasing the total to 40.

CHAPTERS

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Health Talisman #1. In the first area where people are tied to the walls, head to the upper level and enter the open cell to find the collectible.

TK Talisman #1. After collecting the previous item, you will enter an area with water. Climb the two walls, then cross the wooden bridge to find the collectible at the end.

Arcane Tome #1. Found in the corner of the courtyard.

Arcane Tome #2. Located in the large room immediately after the corridor with arrow traps.

TK Talisman #2. After unlocking the ability to open doors marked with blue sigils, continue until you return outside and encounter three archer enemies. The collectible can be found below the pagoda structure above you.

Health Talisman #2. In the next room, you will see several training dummies. Interact with the dummy marked in red and complete the combat tutorial. Repeat this with the remaining dummies to reveal a breakable wall on the upper floor. Break the wall to collect the item.

Health Talisman #3. In the underground cave area with water, you must destroy two stone pillars to create platforms. After jumping across the newly formed platforms, the collectible will be directly in front of you.

Chapter 2

Arcane Tome #3. At the start of the chapter, drop down to the lower level of the room to find the collectible below you.

Arcane Tome #4. In the second room, look down to the left of the climable wall.

Arcane Tome #5. Near the end of the chase scene, before jumping up the final platform, drop down to the left side to find the tome.

Arcane Tome #6. In plain sight after the cutscene at the top of the area, following the escape sequence, where rocks are falling around you.

Chapter 3

TK Talisman #3. After going through the room with enemies tied to the walls again and exiting through the upper door, you will enter a corridor with cells on either side. The collectible is located in the second cell on the right.

Arcane Tome #7. Shortly after the previous collectible, you will climb a wall. At the top, turn left to find the tome.

Health Talisman #4. Continue through the chapter until you use a red jump pad to cross the top of the main hall. After landing on the other side, the collectible will be on your left.

Arcane Tome #8. After picking up the previous collectible, open the door using Telekinesis. The tome is in the next room in plain sight.

TK Talisman #4. After opening the shielded door, you will reach the area above the courtyard. Follow the path all the way around to the end to find the talisman.

Health Talisman #5. After passing through the door in the upper courtyard corridors, you will fight enemies on the ramparts. Before heading toward the statue holding the sword, continue straight ahead to the far side to find the collectible.

Arcane Tome #9. In the same room where you unlock the Telekinesis Fire upgrade, use your new ability to light the two torches on the right side of the room. This will open a door revealing the tome.

Arcane Tome #10. After lighting the two pillars, climb around the room until you are near the top. You will see the tome on a small platform across the room. Drop down onto the lower platforms and jump and glide across to reach it.

Health Talisman #6. After collecting the previous item, climb to the top of the tower to trigger a cutscene. Once it ends, turn around to find the collectible in the circular room.

Chapter 4

Arcane Tome #11. After entering the real world and backtracking to the graveyard area, stick to the right to find it behind a wall.

Health Talisman #7. Just after the previous collectible, jump up into the gap on the left side of the door.

TK Talisman #5. Continue through the level until you return to the upper graveyard area. Jump across to the central platform to find the talisman near several enemies.

Arcane Tome #12. In the room with the warp gate, climb the wall on the left to reach the upper area where the tome is located.

Health Talisman #8. After passing through the warp gate and upgrading your blade to the Darkness Reaver in the center of the Darkness Realm (story objective), one of the walls in this room will crack. Destroy the cracked wall to find the collectible behind it.

Arcane Tome #13. After using the second warp gate to the Light Realm and upgrading your weapon with Light, you must defeat a stone angel to reopen the doors. The tome can be found behind one of these doors.

TK Talisman #6. After obtaining the Light Reaver upgrade and returning outside, jump back across to the left where you previously pushed the pillar down and return to the area with the large portrait. Jump up to the right and open the Light Reaver door to find the collectible.

Health Talisman #9. Return to the corridors south of the main graveyard and locate a climbable wall. At the top, jump to the opposite platform and use the Light Reaver to open the door, revealing the collectible inside.

Chapter 5

Health Talisman #10. Located to the east of the tall pillars marked with symbols.

Arcane Tome #14. Follow the path north of the pillars until you reach a set of ruins with enemies. Use Telekinesis to destroy the column, then climb it to reach the collectible.

TK Talisman #7. After opening the southern door, the collectible will be in plain sight to the left of the waterfall.

Arcane Tome #15. Follow the path to the left of the statue head, past the light door to find the tome.

Chapter 6

Arcane Tome #16. Found underwater at the very start of the chapter.

Health Talisman #11. Located in plain sight at the beginning of the chapter.

Arcane Tome #17. In the Fire Realm, go through the southwestern door. Climb up and enter the room on the left to find the tome.

TK Talisman #8. Located on the right side of the tall pillars.

Arcane Tome #18. Found in plain sight along the path northeast of the tall pillars.

Arcane Tome #19. In the Air Realm, go through the western door and defeat the boss. Continue along this path, climb the wall, then head west to find the collectible.

Health Talisman #12. From the previous collectible, continue to the opposite end of the corridor to find the upgrade.

Chapter 7

Arcane Tome #20. Progress through the level until you trigger a cutscene involving a mural. After the cutscene, look to your left to find the collectible.

Health Talisman #13. Located in the small area to the left after opening the northern gate with the sigil.

Arcane Tome #21. Found in the small room to the southeast after defeating the angel statue enemy in the Light Realm.

TK Talisman #9. After passing through the warp gate to the Fire Realm, head into the central area but do not drop down yet. Instead, move around the upper level and enter the open room to find the collectible.

Arcane Tome #22. From the central area of the Fire Realm, go through the southeastern door and climb the ledges. At the top, turn around and glide across to the tome.

Health Talisman #14. When you reach the Water Realm, you will emerge into a central area. Do not drop down yet. Move around the upper level anticlockwise and enter the open doorway at the end. Then turn left to find the collectible at the end of the hall.

Arcane Tome #23. After climbing the tall wall to return to the upper level in the Water Realm realm, do not drop down on the other side. Instead, turn around and jump and glide across to reach the tome.

Chapter 8

Arcane Tome #24. Once you reach the main hall, break the portrait on your right to find the collectible behind it.

TK Talisman #10. After reaching the greenhouse area, climb up to the circular structure and use Telekinesis to break the window and enter. In the next hallway, go left to find the collectible.

Health Talisman #15. After placing the Heart Seeker into its rightful statue, go through the Light door next to the same statue. Follow the path until you jump across to a climbable wall. In the next room, jump up the wooden platforms and break the wall on the second platform to find the talisman.

Arcane Tome #25. After placing the Heart Seeker in its rightful statue, return to the room where you originally obtained the Heart Seeker and break the portrait to the right of the locked door.

Health Talisman #16. After placing both the Heart Seeker and the Blood Drinker, return to the main hall and use Telekinesis on the portrait on the left side of the entrance.

TK Talisman #11. After placing the final weapon into its rightful statue, turn around and destroy the wall behind you to find the collectible.

Health Talisman #17. After using the portal and defeating the double boss to charge the hourglass in the Water Realm, enter the room to the northwest to find the talisman.

Arcane Tome #26. Just before using the Library Seal to finish the chapter, return to the room where you obtained the first weapon and break the glass on the left to find the tome.

Chapter 9

Arcane Tome #27. Located on the upper level of the Earth Realm you enter. Look for a small platform to the right of the two extinguished flames to reach it.

Health Talisman #18. After obtaining the Earth Glove (story objective), you will break a wall to proceed. The collectible will be in plain sight in the next room.

Arcane Tome #28. After using the warp gate to reach the Darkness Realm, drop down to the center and defeat the stone enemies to open the doors. Go through the southern door to find the tome inside.

TK Talisman #12. After defeating the stone enemies, return to the upper level and enter the small room to the northeast to find the collectible.

Arcane Tome #29. Just before using the warp gate to leave the Air Realm, head down the hallway to the right to find the tome.

Health Talisman #19. Located in the room with the warp gate on the floor after collecting all four fragments and opening the door.

Chapter 10

TK Talisman #13. Found in the room at the end of the first corridor in the Earth Realm.

Health Talisman #20. After returning to the cathedral with the Earth Power, use it on the sigil on the floor to create platforms. Use these platforms to reach the upper area where the collectible is located.

Arcane Tome #30. After leaving the cathedral, you will enter the catacombs. The collectible can be found in the first room where a cutscene plays.

Arcane Tome #31. After defeating the boss in the catacombs. Drestoy the pillar and climb up the wall. Just before the top, turn the camera to find the tome floating in the air. Just off the wall and glide to it. MAKE SURE YOU DON’T GET TO THE TOP, OR THE CHAPTER WILL END.

Chapter 11

Arcane Tome #32. During the fight against Kain, look for the collectible in one of the alcoves on the side of the arena.

Chapter 12

Arcane Tome #33. Once you return to the mansion, defeat the enemies in the room. Then head up to the upper area with the two pillars. Use Telekinesis on the curtain on the left side to reveal the tome behind it.

Health Talisman #21. Once you reach the room where you placed the three weapons during your first visit to the mansion, look in the southwestern corner to find the collectible.

Arcane Tome #34. Located on your left as soon as you enter the main hall of the mansion.

TK Talisman #14. After passing through the Earth door, jump through the window in the next room to find the collectible.

Health Talisman #22. Once you reach the outside courtyard, go through the front door and use Telekinesis to destroy the statue, revealing the collectible behind it.

Arcane Tome #35. In the East Wing, you will reach a room filled with water. Enter the Spirit Realm and dive in. The tome is behind the bars at the end of the passage.

TK Talisman #15. After breaking the underwater wall where the previous collectible was found, enter the next room and push the two pillars onto the switches on the right side to open the gate containing the collectible.

Health Talisman #23. After returning outside, climb the circular structure in the garden and jump through the window. The talisman will be on your left.

Arcane Tome #36. After defeating the tentacle boss and getting the Spirit Reaver, you will have to head back to the top of the tower to fight the boss. On your way back, go through the now open northern gate and glide across the gap at the end to find the tome.
