Little Nightmares 3 The Shores DLC 100% Walkthrough
This step-by-step walkthrough will show you how to finish The Shores DLC for Little Nightmares 3 with 100% completion. That means all the collectibles (the 11 Paper Boats) and every trophy the DLC adds. Technically everything is missable except the trophy for finishing the DLC, but luckily the DLC is quite short and you can use Chapter Select to replay it.
Note
The See Ya, Suckers trophy is currently bugged and cannot be obtained as of version 1.002.001. To unlock it you need to complete the DLC without being killed by the Leech Monster, the only enemy you come across in the DLC. The smaller enemies are part of the Leech Monster too, so in theory this trophy requires you to finish the DLC without dying to either of them. If you see that you are about to die, restart from the checkpoint before you get caught.
As soon as you start the DLC, go up the stairs ahead and enter the pipe.
In the next area, jump together with your partner to drop down to the lower part of the pipe, then open the hatch.
Paper Boat #1
In the next area you will find the first Paper Boat right in front of you.
After picking up the Paper Boat, swim on to the next area. To get through, hold to dive and keep moving forward.
In the next area, go up the stairs and lift the door, then pull the lever to raise the water level.
Trophy: Battering Ram
In the next area you will find some sandcastles. To unlock the trophy you need to knock all 6 of them down, which you do simply by running through them. The first three are in this area, before you go up the stairs.
Paper Boat #2
After going up the stairs, instead of climbing further, go down into the next area. Here you will find the remaining three sandcastles for the Battering Ram trophy, and the Paper Boat inside a pit.
Paper Boat #3
Back up the stairs, head left and pull the suitcase over to the door. Use it to get over the door into the next area, then enter the first room on the left to find this Paper Boat.
To move on, pull the lever to turn on the power, then bring the suitcase back to where it was so it covers the drain and connects the power. Then take the key from the hand of the man on the right.
After using the key on the padlock to open up the next area, you will see a man on the ground. Your objective here is to pull the planks off the door, but when you do, enemies will come out of the man. To get through this section quickly without dying, pull the planks off the door, pick up the book next to the man and run to the next area on the right. Throw the book at the window to break it and climb through.
In the next area, jump into the drain. You and your partner then need to jump at the same time to drop into the next area, where a strong current carries you both along. At the end you will see a ladder. Climb up it.
After climbing the ladder, grab onto the pipe and enter the duct. On the other side of the duct you drop into another current, and there is a puzzle to solve before you can go on. Player 1 holds the lever to change the direction of the current below. Player 2 then swims under the area to reach the other side and holds the other lever. Now Player 1 jumps into the water and crosses to the other side, opens the gate on the left and pulls the lever there. This stops the propeller and lets you both move on to the next area on the right.
In the next area, open the hatch on the right side to raise the water level, then climb up the ladder.
Next, climb the ladder on the left and jump into the current on the right. At the top, jump to the left and head to the end of the area. You will see a trash can there. Pull it back and climb on top of it to move on.
Paper Boat #4
In the next area, wait for the boy on the rooftop to throw a box down. Climb onto the box and up to the rooftop where he was. Head right over the air conditioner and you will soon see the Paper Boat on a bench next to a fish. After picking it up, head to the left.
In the next area your objective is to jump on a plank together with your partner to break through to the lower part of the area. The first time you jump, enemies will appear. Run back to the entrance you came in through and jump to the other side, then wait for the enemies to fall into the hole. After that, go back to the plank and jump again to drop down.
Right after falling through the plank you will see the Leech Monster for the first time. Stay under the water so it cannot see you. Once it turns away you can surface to breathe.
Paper Boat #5
Now head to the end of the corridor and enter the room on the left, then pass under the door. Pick up the toilet paper rolls next to the toilet and throw them in to clog it, then flush. This floods the room and carries you straight to the Paper Boat.
Paper Boat #6
From the previous Paper Boat, head right and enter the next room. Dive into the water and swim down to reach the elevator. Use the suitcases inside the elevator to get on top of it, then pull the lever in the room on the left to raise the elevator and lower the water level. Before going down through the elevator, use the suitcases inside it again to climb onto its roof, then squeeze along the wall to find one more Paper Boat.
Next, go down through the elevator and out to pick up the key. Then climb back up the suitcases in the elevator, enter the room on the left and pull the lever to raise the water level. Go back down through the elevator once more and swim through the water to return to the hallway you came from. At the end of the hallway, use the key on the door.
Trophy: Service!
After passing through the door you will see a bell on the reception desk. Jump on it 5 times to unlock the trophy.
To carry on, interact with the door handle. A child will appear up above and throw a rope down for you. Climb it to reach the next area.
In the next area you will see the Leech Monster. Your objective is to sneak to the other side of the room without being spotted. Once there, pull the plank off the door and pass through.
Paper Boat #7
After passing through the small door, keep following the only path there is. Go down, and at the bottom of the area you will find one more Paper Boat.
Now pass through the vent and you will see the Leech Monster right in front of you. Your objective here is to turn on the power and get in through the dumbwaiter. Head right and push the cart up to the wall, squeeze through the gap in the wall and pull the lever on the other side. As soon as you pull it, the Leech Monster enters the room and you will need to hide. There is a hiding spot right next to the lever. Stay hidden until it loses interest in you.
Paper Boat #8
After turning on the power, head right and pull the dumbwaiter lever, then get into the dumbwaiter to drop to the lower part of the area. Down there, head right and pull the lever to stop the water leak, then go back to the left side and pick up the Paper Boat.
To move on, jump into the drain together with your partner.
Trophy: 3-Pointer
After riding the current and climbing the ladder you come out in the sewer. Here, pull the pallet to the center of the room and climb the ladder. At the top you will find 2 bricks. Throw one of them into the pallet below to unlock the trophy.
To carry on, throw a brick at the button on the left. Then put all the bricks into the pallet and pull both levers at the top. This floods the room and lets you reach the next area on the right.
Paper Boat #9
Now move on to the next area and, instead of climbing the stairs on the right, swim to the back of the area and enter the pipe on the right. Head all the way to the end to find this Paper Boat.
Next, go back the way you came and climb the stairs. At the top, keep following the only path to the right until the cutscene with another child.
Paper Boat #10
After the brief cutscene you will be trapped in a room and the Leech Monster will appear. Hide in the couch in the center of the room until it leaves. Then use the vending machine to get a can, throw it at the glass of the door on the left, go through the door and pick up the Paper Boat.
To move on, get another can from the vending machine and head right. Throw the can at the elevator button to open it, then climb the elevator cables to the top. Head to the end of the corridor and you will see steam coming out of the wall. Player 2 needs to turn the crank to stop the steam so Player 1 can get past. The crank makes noise, though, and you will need to use that to draw the enemy away so you can both get through the area.
After that area you need to pull a lever to move on. When you pull it, the Leech Monster starts chasing you. Your objective is simply to run to the end along the only path there is and pass under a large door. Once through, pull the lever to electrocute the enemies. If you got through the whole DLC without dying to the Leech Monster, this is the moment the See Ya, Suckers trophy should unlock. If it does not, the bug has not been fixed yet, and you can try again after a patch.
Paper Boat #11
To carry on, pull the lever outside and a brief cutscene plays. Afterwards, keep going forward, up the lighthouse and through the elevator. Right after leaving the elevator, turn left to find the last Paper Boat.
Finally, climb the stairs on the right and pull the lever to lower the mirror. Interact with the mirror and you will be taken to a new area. There, simply walk forward and interact with the lit mirror. A brief cutscene plays and you have completed The Shores DLC, which rewards you with the Wave Goodbye trophy.
