MIO: Memories In Orbit How To Get The True Ending

This guide will show you every step you need to take to get the True Ending and the “Welcome Home” trophy.

You can get the True Ending and the “Welcome Home” trophy in MIO by following these steps. Nothing is missable; however, to get the True Ending, you must advance the main story up to the point where you have the 4 Voices. You can also do this after finishing the normal ending.

Step 1. In the Vault, return to where the Hand grabs you during the story and drop down to the area below. Here, go right and follow the path to the end to find the Severed Fingertip.

Step 2. Take the fingertip to the room above the checkpoint in the Lab area to repair the mechanism.

Step 3. Get the Lab Overseer from the area to the left (you will unlock this area during the main story).

Step 4. You will now have to get the Overseer for the main Vault area. For this, go to the big room on the left and go through the hidden passage in the drawer. Continue on this path by activating the pumps until you climb a metal grating and see the Overseer on the ground in plain sight.

Step 5. Use the mechanism in the Lab that you repaired with the fingertip, and spin it so that it’s marking 0 degrees. Then drop down and collect the Vault Shuttle Overseer in the room below (It should now be close enough to its base).

Step 6. Return to the mechanism and set it to 120 Degrees. Then, Teleport to the main Vault Overseer from the Lab Overseer. Then go to the main lift you used to get here for the first time and climb the empty lift shaft to get to the Vault Shuttle Overseer and activate it (so you can fast travel to it).

Step 7. Return the mechanism to its original position (240 Degrees) and teleport to the Vault Shuttle Overseer (you will need to do this from any other Overseer in the top half of the map). Then, drop down the lift shaft to reach the Crucible.

Step 8. In the Crucible, you will now have to finish the 2 long platforming gauntlets. There is one on the right of the overseer and one on the left of the overseer. These can be brutal in difficulty (by far the hardest part of the game), so if you are having a hard time, I recommend turning on the “Ground Healing” option in the Assists menu. This will allow you to stand still after failing a section and get 1 armor back; this way, you don’t have to go back to the checkpoint if you fail too many times. At the end of these 2 platforming gauntlets, you will have to interact with a computer.

Step 9. After finishing both gauntlets, talk to Tomo in the middle area of the Crucible to unlock the Flowing Steps ability. This will allow you to walk and climb on water.

Step 10. Go to the Canopy area, and climb the waterfall that can be accessed from one of the hanging platforms near the centre. Then continue climbing to get to a new area. Here, go right to find a lift. Go down to L-3 Precious Samples and interact with the bridge. Then interact with it again to start the True Final boss. After you defeat it, you will get the True Ending and the “Welcome Home” trophy.
