Wo Long All Golden Cicada Shell Locations (Ascension Trophy Guide)
There are a total of 20 Golden Cicada Shells in Wo Long. Giving them all to the NPC on top of the tower in The Hidden Village (HUB) will get you the “Ascension” trophy / achievment.
Here are the locations.
Golden Cicada Shell #1. Found in Two Chivalrous Heroes (Main Mission). After defeating the first boss, go through the small building to the right (this is where you get your first healing upgrade). Then, once you com out the other side, go left and climb on top of the wooden structure. Here you will find the cicada at the end of a wooden path.
Golden Cicada Shell #2. Found in The Valley Of Crying Wariths (Main Mission). After the tiger enemy, you will soon go through a valleywith red vines on the wall. As soon as you see the vines, climb up the wall on the left. You will then see a wooden bridge that takes you to a marking flag. Just before the flag, drop through the hole in the bridge to find the cicada shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #3. Found in The Demon Of The Yellow Fort (Main Mission). After going through the cave at the start of the level you will come out to a village on the other side (don’t take the right exit in the cave). In this village, go to the opposite end and circle around the houses to the right. You will then be on the other side of the house that you see below you when you come out of the cave. Climb up to the roof of this buiding, then to the bigger building to get the cicada shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #4. Found in In Search Of The Immortal Wizard (Main Quest). In the cave near the end of the level. After you fight the frog type creature that comes out the ground near the battle flag, use the vines as a path to get to the cicada shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #5. Found in Fall Of The Corrupted Eunuch (Main Mission). Once you get to the opposite end of the big room with purple water at the bottom, go down the stairs on the other side (don’t go down the hall to fight the first boss yet). Here enter the cage on the right to find the Cicada Shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #6. Found in Fall Of The Corrupted Eunuch (Main Mission). In the final area with bridges and pink water, climb up to the long roof to the left of the area. Then jump on to the roof of the building above the final battle flag to get the cicada shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #7. Found in The Battle Of Hulaoguan Pass (Main Mission). Once you get to the second battle flag, drop down in to the ditch and go to your right. The cicada shell will be at the end.
Golden Cicada Shell #8. Found in Centuries Of Glory Burned Away (Main Mission). After the part where you dodge the lightning from the dragon, you will have a river on your left. Go past the broken bridge and drop down to the water. Then, enter the passage on the left to find the cicada shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #9. Found in Darkness Over The Hanshui River (Main Mission). At the very start of the mission, go right. Then, go all the way to the end to find the cicada shell below a small boat.
Golden Cicada Shell #10. Found in Tyrant’s Final Banquet (Main Mission). Just after the first battle flag you will be on a wall with some enemies. Look for a small wall on below you on your right. Drop down to it to get the shell.
Golden Cicada Shell #11. Found in Tyrant’s Final Banquet (Main Mission). From the final battle flag, go through the door on the right. Here, you can find the cicada shell on top of the roof to your right.
Golden Cicada Shell #12. Found in “War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely” (Main Mission). Continue on the main path after the 4th battle flag until you see a blue flag above you. A this flag, go right to find the cicada shell in the chest at the end.
Golden Cicada Shell #13. Also found in “War’s Flames Blaze Fiercely” (Main Mission). After the previous shell you will go in to some underground ruins. You will soon get to a room with 2 enmemies guarding a chest on a platform. The shell will be inside the chest.
Golden Cicada Shell #14. Found in “The Way Of The Warrior” (Main Mission). After the first battle flag you will get to an area with mud. Here, take the left path to find the shell at the end.
Golden Cicada Shell #15. Found in “Lu Bu, Mightiest Among Men” (Main Mission). Can be found by going around the left side of the building where the final battle flag is.
Golden Cicada Shell #16. Found in “Behold The Glaive Of Righteousness” (Main Mission). Once you get to the misty area, go left and continue around until you go under a bridge. Just after the bridge you will see a tower on your right. Climb the tower to find the shell on the tree.
Golden Cicada Shell #17. Also found in “Behold The Glaive Of Righteousness” (Main Mission). After the 1st boss you will enter an underground area. Just past the battle flag, go up the stairs and through the door. Then, go left and climb the platforms in front of you. The shell will be at the end of this path.
Golden Cicada Shell #18. Found in “Decisive Battle Of Guandu” (Main Mission). Once you get to the area with the massive statues, you will find the shell near the cliff on the right.
Golden Cicada Shell #19. Also found in “Decisive Battle Of Guandu” (Main Mission). After the first boss, go down the side of the battle flag to find the cicada shell at the bottom.
Golden Cicada Shell #20. Found in The Hidden Village (HUB). Under the tower where the NPC that you give the shells to is found.
Once you have all 20 shells give them to the NPC on top of the tower in The Hidden Village to get the “Ascension” trophy / achievement.
