ROADMAP

Intro

Resonance is a spin-off of the A Plague Tale series, and this time things are shaken up: it becomes a full action-adventure game closer to something like the Uncharted games. That shift is reflected in the trophy list too. There are 3 types of main collectibles, plus Resonance Points, which basically function as a collectible of their own, alongside a handful of miscellaneous trophies and a big chunk of combat-related ones.

Luckily, everything can be done through chapter select except for Gold TrophyLike a Warrior, which requires fully upgrading the skill tree. For that you'll need to collect at least 165 Resonance Points (there are a bit more than that available in the game). Unlike the other collectibles, you can't return to a previous chapter, grab them, and then reload back to where you left off, so this is the only thing you really need to worry about doing in a single playthrough. These, along with the rest of the collectibles, are covered in the All Collectibles guide. For everything else, you can simply use chapter select to clean up whatever you missed.

Step 1. Play Through the Game + Collectibles + Max Out the Skill Tree

Play through the game while following the All Collectibles guide. You can play on any difficulty, including the easiest one, which makes combat pretty much a joke since you'll auto-dodge and auto-parry. As mentioned before, if you miss any of the 3 main types of collectibles (Relics, Blades and Charms) there's no need to worry, since you can just go back through chapter select, collect them and then quit out. However, make sure you don't miss too many Resonance Points. You'll need 165 to max out the skill tree and earn the Gold TrophyLike a Warrior trophy, and if you reach the end of the game without enough, you can't go back and quickly pick them up through chapter select.

Step 2. Miscellaneous and Combat Trophy Cleanup

After finishing the game, collecting everything and maxing out the skill tree, all you'll have left are some combat trophies and maybe the 2 miscellaneous ones. These can all be quickly knocked out through chapter select:

Bronze Trophy
Like a warrior
Unlock the 6 mastery branches

This is the game's only missable trophy. Unlocking all 6 mastery branches requires at least 165 Resonance Points, and unlike every other collectible, Resonance Points can't be topped up later through chapter select, so make sure you're hitting 165 Resonance Points before you finish your playthrough. All Resonance Point locations are covered in the All Collectibles guide.

Bronze Trophy
In the name of my kin
Find all the Theseus Echoes

Theseus Echoes are just one of the types of Charms, so you'll naturally pick all of these up while going for the Charms. None are missable, and any you skip can be picked up afterwards through chapter select. They're covered in the All Collectibles guide.

Bronze Trophy
Returning the favor
Kill an Archer with a throwing knife

Simply kill an Archer using a throwing knife. Throwing knives can sometimes be found around the areas where you fight enemies, and can also drop from other enemies when you defeat them.

A good spot to do this is Chapter 2-4. During this sub-chapter you'll use a zipline to reach a large ship. As soon as you land, there will be a throwing knife on your right. Before picking it up, defeat the 2 enemies that aren't archers, leaving only the archer standing (the enemy behind the barrels). Then, press next to the knife to throw it at the archer.

Bronze Trophy
Cannon fodder
Lure a Brute into killing 1 soldier while in a rage

A good spot to get this trophy is Chapter 10-1. Head up to the top of the scaffolding near the start of the chapter, where the large fight takes place. After defeating enough enemies, a large elite enemy wearing a metal helm (the Brute) will drop down into the area.

Once this happens, stop killing enemies and try to position yourself so that there's a regular enemy between you and the Brute. Get close enough to trigger its attack, which is normally 2 red attacks followed by a yellow one. On the easiest difficulty, if a single one of these hits a regular enemy it will kill them, earning you the trophy.

Bronze Trophy
Inherited brutality
Kill 4 enemies simultaneously with a Focus attack

You'll learn how to perform a Focus attack close to the end of Chapter 4. To perform one, attack or parry enemies until the gauge at the bottom left of the screen is full, then press + to spin your blades around you, dealing heavy damage to enemies nearby. To get this trophy you need to kill 4 enemies with a single use.

A good spot to get this is Chapter 10-1. After climbing the scaffolding near the start of the chapter, you'll be attacked by a large group of enemies, enough to charge the gauge and still have 4 or more left over afterwards. Just make sure you soften the enemies up a little before using the Focus attack, since even on the easiest difficulty some of the tankier enemies can survive it.

Bronze Trophy
Untouchable
Successfully parry 6 attacks in a row

This trophy is a little misleading: it's not just 6 parries in a row, but 6 parries within about 2 seconds of the first one, so a slow, spread-out streak won't count. Press just as an enemy attack is about to hit you. Note that you may not be able to get this trophy on the "Narrative" difficulty with auto-parry enabled.

The most reliable way to get this is to switch the difficulty to "Nightmare" (the hardest setting), which makes enemies attack more aggressively. Then use chapter select and pick Chapter 10-1, and head to the large fight on the bridge after climbing the scaffolding near the start of the chapter. Once there, run around the enemies to pull a large group around you, then parry away until you land 6 in quick succession.

Bronze Trophy
Excessive force
Break free from a Corrupted's grab with a Focus attack

To get this trophy you need to use a Focus Attack ( + once the gauge in the bottom left of the screen is full) to escape a Corrupted's grab. First, make sure you're not playing on the "Narrative" difficulty, since you'll auto-dodge the grab attack.

Then, use chapter select and pick Chapter 13-4. Head through the first area by shining the light in the middle at the petrified structure at the end, then at the circular plate on the wall. In the next area, after opening the grate in the floor to let light through and using it to clear the petrified substance blocking the exit, you'll be attacked by two Corrupted. Kill one to get it out of the way, then once you're alone with the other, make sure you don't land a critical on it so it stays in its first form. Just keep hitting it until your Focus attack gauge is full, then wait until it grabs you. Once it does, press + to use a Focus attack and escape the grab.

Bronze Trophy
Adaptable
Kill at least 1 enemy with each blade

Obtained by defeating at least 1 enemy with each of the 8 Blades. All Blade locations are covered in the All Collectibles guide.

Bronze Trophy
No holds barred
Stun 20 enemies with throwables

Obtained by throwing bottles at enemies to stun them, 20 times total. During fights you'll see glass bottles scattered around the area, and they can also drop from enemies you defeat. Just stand next to one and press to throw it at the enemy you're currently locked onto. For most regular enemies this will instantly fill their stagger bar and turn it yellow, stunning them.

If you don't have this trophy by the end of the game, you can easily farm it in Chapter 10-1. Climb the scaffolding near the start of the chapter and you'll run into a big fight with a lot of enemies. Throw any bottles around the area at them, kill a few so more drop, then throw those too. Before killing everyone, just pause and select "Restart Section" and repeat.

Bronze Trophy
Overboard
Kill 20 enemies by pushing them down a drop

This one will almost certainly come naturally over the course of a normal playthrough. If not, use chapter select and pick Chapter 10-1. Head up to the large fight after climbing the scaffolding near the start of the chapter, then just spam to kick enemies off the side of the bridge. Once all the smaller enemies are dead, pause and select "Restart Section", then repeat until you get the trophy.

Bronze Trophy
They were people
Destroy 100 Petrified with light

Destroy 100 Petrified enemies with any source of light. You'll end up destroying a lot of these naturally over the course of the story, but if you don't have the trophy by the end of the game, use chapter select and pick Chapter 13-3. In the first room, head to the far right corner and activate the light, then aim it at all the Petrified enemies in the room to destroy them. If needed, pause and select "Restart Section" and repeat until the trophy pops.

Bronze Trophy
Sharp enough for you?
Kill 25 enemies with a critical strike

Below an enemy's HP bar you can see their stagger bar. To land a critical hit, you need to turn that bar yellow by filling it up. You can do this by attacking them normally, but it's faster if you parry them or throw bottles at them. Once it's yellow, hold down to perform a critical attack on them with your knife. Kill 25 enemies like this to unlock the trophy.

Bronze Trophy
Skilled maneuverer
Stun 3 enemies at the same time using the skill Echo's Return

First, you'll need to learn the "Echo's Return" skill from the skill tree (top left corner). Then, get into a large fight, like the one on the bridge after climbing the scaffolding near the start of Chapter 10-1.

As soon as an enemy tries to attack you, press at the very last moment to throw that enemy into the others, stunning them. Do this and hit 3 enemies at the same time to get the trophy.

Bronze Trophy
Refraction
Burn the creature 10 times with the Light Concentrate

You'll unlock the Light Concentrate skill at the end of Chapter 10. This lets you use the sphere at a light source to concentrate and redirect the light. For this trophy, just hit the creature in its "face" with it 10 times.

If you don't get this automatically, use chapter select and pick Chapter 12-2. At the start of this sub-chapter you'll press a switch and then have to survive until the lift reaches the bottom. In this area there's a torch on either side. Go to one of them and wait until the creature gets close, then use the Light Concentrate skill with the sphere to hit it in the head. You will have to do this twice to burn the creature. After that, the torch will go out. Once that happens, head over to the torch on the other side and repeat, by which point the first torch should be lit again. Keep repeating until you get the trophy.

Bronze Trophy
Baitfish
Lure successfully 20 Petrified simultaneously

Go to chapter select and pick Chapter 13-4. Go through the eye-shaped hole, and in the next area just run around waking up as many Petrified enemies as possible. Keep doing this until you have 20 following you and the trophy will pop. Just don't get too close to them, since if they grab you they'll instantly kill you.

Bronze Trophy
Sea you later!
Say hello to the turtle

At the very start of Chapter 3, head left along the beach until you see a turtle. Just stand close and watch it enter the water until the trophy pops.

Bronze Trophy
Close call
Survive the creature by a hair's breadth 5 times

For this trophy you'll need to escape the creature at the very last moment 5 times. You can do this by reaching a light source just before the creature catches you.

The easiest way to farm this is to go to chapter select and pick Chapter 9-4. As soon as you spawn into the sub-chapter, sprint straight ahead, jump over the gap where the creature spawns, go to the end, then take the left. You'll see a torch that can be lit by hitting it. Sprint straight to it and hit it as soon as you reach it. Most of the time the creature will be inches away from catching you, which counts towards the trophy. If for whatever reason the creature seems too far away, just wait a little before hitting the torch. Then pause, select "Restart Section", and repeat.

Bronze Trophy
Unpredictable
While chased, make the Creature lose your trail 25 times by jumping over a gap.

This is another trophy that will most likely come naturally. While being chased by the creature, every time you jump over a gap it will start to lose your trail, do this enough times in quick succession and it will lose you completely.

If you don't have it by the end of the game, go to chapter select and pick Chapter 7-4. In this part of the chapter you'll be in control of Theseus. At the start, defeat the rivals, then you'll reach the central part of the arena where the creature will start chasing you. Just run around jumping over as many gaps as possible until it loses track of you, then repeat. Just don't go to the center of the arena, so the story doesn't advance.

Bronze Trophy
Theater enthusiast
Watch the entire puppet show at the carnival

Select Chapter 2-2 and play through it until you reach the large plaza outside the church, filled with people and jugglers performing on a central stage. Go around behind the stage and you'll see a small theater booth on the right, just before the path you take to leave the area. Just stand close by and watch the puppet show until the end.
