This guide will show you where to find every Missile Expansion in Metroid Prime 4. These will give some extra missiles. Here are the locations.
FURY GREEN
Missile Expansion #1. Scan the platforms and use them to reach the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #2. Destroy the seed with a morph ball bomb.
Missile Expansion #3. Use a missitle to destroy the wall.
Missile Expansion #4.Inside a box. Use a missle to destroy it.
Missile Expansion #5. In the tunnel connecting the base where the NPCs hang out and the statue where you use the green crystals. Use a morph ball bomb to destroy the seed.
Missile Expansion #6. Scan the platform to get to the upgrade.
VOLT FORGE
Missile Expansion #7. In a hollow box found in the entrance area.
Missile Expansion #8. Use the morph ball boost to move the hanging crate and knock it into the other one a few times to get it to fall down. The upgrade can be found inside.
Missile Expansion #9. In Tower 1. Use a missle to destroy the metal covering the entrance to a morph ball hole. Inside use the boost to get to the top and collect the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #10. At the top of Tower 2, interact with the switch and then use the morph ball to get to the centre of the circular structure on the floor.
Missile Expansion #11. In Tower 2. Use the morph ball boost to reveal the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #12. At the bottom of Tower 3, scan and pull on the circular structure to reveal the upgrade on your right.
Missile Expansion #13. At the bottom of tower 3. Use a missile to destoy the weak wall to reveal the upgrade behind it.
Missile Expansion #14. In the hole tube above the road to the left of tower 1. Use a Psychic Shot and control the bullet to hit the switch at the end of the tube.
ICE BELT
Missile Expansion #15. Destroy the boxes and then use the morh ball bombs to open the gate.
Missile Expansion #16. Found under the platforms in the Ancient Temple area.
Missile Expansion #17. Hit the switch in the Elevator Landing area with a thunder shot.
Missile Expansion #18. Go through the morph ball tunnel in the Medical Bays Access area and then use the magnetic points to swing yourself to the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #19. Go through the ice tunnel in the Bio-Labs Access area to find the collectible at the end.
Missile Expansion #20. Use a morph ball bomb to open the tube in the side room in the Staging Corridor area. Then go through it to find the upgrade on the other side.
Missile Expansion #21. Drop down to the area below in the Storage Bay area and go through the pipe. Then use the spider morph ball to go around the side of the column. At the end place a 2 bombs at the bottom with a small interval of time between them, then at the highest point of the bounce place another bomb. You should then land on the second bomb and bounce up to the third one that will bounce you up to the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #22. Melt the ice in the Surgery Corridor area with a fire shot, then scan and pull on the metal coverting the tube. Go through it and destroy the metal with a bomb to get the upgrade.
FLARE POOL
Missile Expansion #23. Scan the platforms in the Volcano Entrance area and use them to reach the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #24. Use an ice shot on the lava falling from above on the side of the Shoreline Access area.
Missile Expansion #25. Return to the boss area to find the upgrade floating above the lava.
Missile Expansion #26. Use the morph ball boost to get to the magnetic rail on the left side of the half pipe in the Ventilation Works area.
Missile Expansion #27. Scan and pull off the metal plate from the machine in the Pressure Monitoring area. Then shoot it with a few thunder shots to reveal the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #28. Found in one of the capsules in the Cooling Room.
Missile Expansion #29. As soon as you enter the Energy Extraction room, use the metal rail on the wall to your left and climb it with the spider morph ball. Use bombs to get over the gaps an reach the upgrade at the end.
Missile Expansion #30. Found in the Suborservation Room. First use a missle to knock off the metal plating. Then scan and pull on the metal to lower the platforms. Then go through the gap with the morph ball and jump to the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #31. In the Overseer Room. First, scan the metal plating on the machine in the middle of the room and pull it off. Then go into morph ball and hold down the bomb button to spawn an orb. Enter “scanning” mode and grab the orb. Then place it in the hole behind the metal plating you pulled off. Finally, shoot a Psychic Shot and control it to hit all 3 purple lights that come out of the machine.
GREAT MINES
Missile Expansion #32. On Level 1, go around the side of the main elevator and use the spider ball to climb around the structure to get to the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #33. On Level 1 - Transit Tunnel A, use a super missle to destroy the red metal plate. You will find the upgrade on the other side.
Missile Expansion #34. Use the grappling hooks in Level 2 - Narrow Crevice area to get the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #35. Found on Level 2 - Transit Junction behind anothe red metal plate that can be destroyed with a Super Missile.
Missile Expansion #36. On Level 2 - Easing Tunnel. Enter the machine on the side of the room in morph ball form and use a Psychic bomb to activate it. Then use a Super Missle to destroy the minerals in the cart where you can find the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #37. Found on Level 2 - Blast Mining in the room where you get the Super Missiles. Use a Super Missile to destroy the rocky wall to find the upgrade on the other side.
Missile Expansion #38. On Level 3 - Transit Tunnel E. Scan and then pull off the metal plate and enter the tunnel in morph ball form to find the upgrade at the end.
SOL VALLEY
Missile Expansion #39. Found in the north-west corner of the desert. Scan and pull out the metal plates to see the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #40. Enter the area in the north-west corner of the desert (the path to the Ice Belt area). Here, use the platforms on the right to climb up to the door that you would normally use to get to the Ice Belt area. Then go through the building and come out the other side. Here scan the purple mist to reveal a morph ball booster. Use it to get to the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #41. On some boxes in the ruins to the north of the desert.
Missile Expansion #42. Scan and pull out the metal plates close to the north-east corner of the desert.
Missile Expansion #43. Found on the building on the western side of the desert. You can obtain it by shooting a Psychic Shot through the metal tube-like structure and activating the switch inside. Then use your grappling hook on the crane to reach the upgrade.
Missile Expansion #44. Obtained by talking to Tokabi at the western camp. To get him to spawn here you must first talk to him at the south-western camp during the main story.
Missile Expansion #45. Scan and pull up the metal plate in the south-west area of the desert.
Missile Expansion #46. Found under a rock arch in the southern area of the desert. You can reach it on Vi-O-La by using the ramp.
Missile Expansion #47. In the building to the south of the desert. Shoot the metal panel on the side with a thunder shot to get it.
Missile Expansion #48. This one can be found in the mini-dungeon on the eastern side of the desert. In the room with the water flowing down, destroy the crystal container on the left side of the room to reveal the path to the upgrade.
