Martial Arts and Ninjutsu are the special skills that can be unlocked in the different skill trees. You can obtain these via Guides, Handbooks and Crucible Weapons.

11572 CE - Warring States

Moonlit Snow Charge. Pet the Chijiko in the Tenryu River region.

Heaven Flash Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Tenryu River region.

Mist Slash Lightning. Defeat the enemy after using the Spirit Vein in Tenryu River. You will need to defeat the Tengu boss at the start of the second main map to use this Spirit Vein.

Swift Step Heavey. Defeat the Green Shadow’s Blade boss in the Tokaido region.

Cloudsplitter Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Hamamatsu region.

Fire Shuriken. Go through the small hole in the mountain in the tall grass in the Hamamatsu region.

Burrow. Found inside the Hamamatsu Crucible. After defeating a large enemy in a courtyard, look for a small room on your left with lava. Jump to the platform in the middle of this room, then go right and around the back of this building. Follow this path to find the Ninjutsu on a corpse on a rooftop.

Rampage Seeking. Pet the Chijiko in the Hamamatsu region.

Pollard Combo. Obtained by defeating the Kamaitachi boss in the Maisaka region.

Leaping Strike Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Maisaka region.

Wagon Kick Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Maisaka region.

God Of The Wind Wind. Pet the Chijiko in the Lake Sanaru region.

Urgency. Use the Spirit Vein and defeat the master. You will have to advance to the end of the 4th main region to get the correct Spirit.

Lightning Blade Lightning. Pet the Chijiko flying around above the ship in the Lake Sanaru region.

Dragonfly Reversal Pierce. Pet the Chijiko in the Mikatagahara region.

Retrograde Flow Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Mikatagahara region.

Resounding Lunge Extend. Found inside the Mikatagahara Crucible. After the second Bodhisattva Statue, go right and defeat Naito Masatoyo. If you already defeated him in the Futamata Road region he will not appear here.

Reverse Impact. Defeat the optional boss in the small area with banners right next to the 3rd Bodhisattva Statue in the Mikatagahara Crucible.

Sky Piercer Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Hamamatsu Hill region.

Sign Of The Cross Pierce. Pet the Chijiko in the Hamamatsu Hill region.

Heaven’s Clash Wind. Pet the Chijiko in the Hamamatsu Hill region.

Flying Buck Stomp. Defeat the Blood-Spurting Ogin boss in the Hamamatsu Hill.

Windmill Wind. Pet the Chijiko in the Hamamatsu Hill region.

Lumber Chop. Defeat the Master in the Lake Hamana region.

Abscission Combo. Pet the Chijiko in the Lake Hamana region.

Whirlwind Wind. Pet the Chijiko in the Iinoya region.

Greased Lightning Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Iinoya region.

Flying Buck. Defeat the Master in the Iinoya region. You will have to first advance through the Those Who Live In Shadows side quest that is also started in this region near the Omomiji Junction shrine.

Raijin Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Iinoya region.

Mad Spinner Wind. Pet the Chijiko in the Futamata Road region.

Crimson Lotus Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Futamata Road region.

Tiger’s Blade. Defeat the Master in the Futamata region.

Paralytic Groundfire. In a chest in the Futamata region.

Cyclone Wind. Pet the Chijiko in the Futamata region.

Punish The Proud. Defeat the Anayama boss in the Futamata region.

Death From Above Water. Obtained by defeating the Demon Of Pride boss in the Iinoya. You will need to advance the story and defeat the Tengu boss at the start of th second main region to use the Spirit Vein and reach the boss.

1190 CE - Heian

Limitless Tough. Pet the Chijiko in the Kamo Village region.

Rakansen Coin. Found in a chest in the Kamo Village region. Use the rooftops to reach the house on the upper platform.

Spinning Dragon. Defeat the All-Seeing Mage mini boss in the Kamo Village region.

Thin Air. Defeat the Master in the Kamo Village region. You will first have to finish the Follow the Soldier’s Shadow side quest.

Mountain Breaker Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Funaokayama region.

Bear’s Bane Fire. Defeat the mini boss on the bridge in the Sagano region.

Morning Moon Impact. Pet the Chijiko in the Sagano region.

Shadowstich. In a chest in the Sagano region.

Water Sword Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Sagano region.

Falcon Strike. Use the Spirit Vein in the Nishiichi region to reach the Master and defeat him.

Fire Foot Drill Jump. Pet the Chijiko in the Awawa No Tsuji region.

Changing Ways. Defeat the Master in the Awawa No Tsuji region. Use the Spirit Vein to the east to reach him.

Enhanced Shrapnel Bomb. The valuable just north of the Master in the Awawa No Tsuji region.

Archer’s Impact. Obtained from the Master in the Hachijo region. You will fight him during the The Box’s Guardian side quest.

Radiant Moon Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Hachijo region.

Whirling Tiger Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Hachijo region.

Arch Of Chaos Fire. Obtained by defeating the Demon of Envy boss in the Hachijo region. You can reach her by jumping across the rooftops on the left of the wooden stage and then going down the hole.

Shadowself. In a chest in the Hachijo region.

Twisting Spear Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Hachijo region.

Cukoo’s Call Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Rokuhara region.

Swallow Slash Jump. Obtained by clearing the Lesser Crucible in the Rokuhara region.

Seesaw Strike Impact. Use the Spirt Vein in the Rokuhara region to get to the south-west area of the temple. Here, defeat the mini boss and clear the dark realm.

Roundabout. Story related for defeating Kajiware Kagetoki.

247 CE - Antiquity

No Martial Arts or Ninjutsus in this region.

1622 CE - Return To Edo

No Martial Arts or Ninjutsus in this region.

1864 CE - Bakumatsu

Poison Mist. Look for a paper door you can break as you make your way through the first halls on the bottom floor. Then open the chest on the other side.

Twin Dragons Water. Defeat the world boss in Shichijo.

Focus Strike Heavy. Pet the Chijiko in the Shichijo region.

Titanic Strength Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Shichijo region.

Fracture Foe Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Shijo region.

Beyond Infinity Fire. Automatically obtained from the Enenra boss during the main story.

Heavenly Strike Combo. Defeat the world boss in the Shijo.

Fleetfoot. Defeat the Master in the Shijo region.

Blinding Shell. Found in a chest in the Sanjo region.

Kick Cycle Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Sanjo region.

Storm Of Strikes Shadow. Defeat the world boss in the Sanjo region.

Savage Blade Kata. Found in the Sanjo story crucible. After going through a short red cave, look for a chest in the corner of the next building.

Beyond Infinity. Defeat the Master in the Gion region.

Lumber Chop Swift. Pet the Chijiko in the Gion region.

Water Wheel Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Gion region.

Twin Phoenix Extend. Pet the Chijiko in the Gion region.

Unruly Revolution Wind. Defeat the world boss in the Gion region.

Tangle Strike Lightning. Pet the Chijiko in the Shirakawa region.

Wave Slash Wind. Defeat Joro-gumo in the Shirakawa region.

Serpent Sweep Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Nijo Castle region.

Kurama Sword Dance Wind. Obtained by defeating the world boss in the Nijo Castle region. To get to this area, follow the path down from the Main Gate shrine in the Mibu region.

Tornado. Defeat the Master in the Nijo Castle region.

Whirling Blade Switch. Pet the Chijiko in the Nijo Castle region.

Shadow Cyclone Combo. Pet the Chijiko in the Mibu region.

Blade Spin. Defeat the Master in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region.

Flying Fist Fire. Pet the Chijiko in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region.

Swallow’s Wing Water. Pet the Chijiko in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region.

Tri-Spark. Defeat the Master in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region.

Coiled Spring Pierce. Found in the Kyoto Imperial Palace story crucible. Advance until you get to a room with a square wooden structure in the middle. Here, go through the hall on the other side of the room and then use the Spirit Vein to get to the Onryoki boss. Defeat it to get the Art.

Goundquake Lightning. Finish the Peerless Katana side quest in the Shchijo region.

1622 CE - Final Battle Of Edo

No Martial Arts/Ninjutsu in this region.

Crucible Weapon Arts

Some martial Arts can only be obtained by extracting them from Crucible Weapons. These are weapons that drop at random from enemies and chests in crucibles. To extract an art, you must get that weapon’s familiarity to maximum. Here is the list.
