Secret Skills Texts will unlock new passive Skills that can be equipped at shrines through the Skill Management menu.
1572 CE - Warring States
Unshakable. Valuable in the Tenryu River region.
Vital Spirit. In a chest in the Enemy Base in the Tenryu River region.
Armour Piercer. Defeat the wolf type enemy in the village to get the Dirty Key. Then use it to open the house where the chest is found.
Panacea Curefast. Defeat the enemies in the Enemy Base to get the key that opens the shrine. The skill can be found inside.
Deadly Eye. Behind the Spirit Vein in Tenryu River. You will have to advance the main story to get the correct Spirit.
Roaring Dragon Deflect. In the house behind the mini boss in the Tokaido.
Tachi Arts. Valuable behind the Lesser Crucible in the Tokaido region.
Lingering Spirit. In a chest in the Hamamatsu region.
Thrown Blade Counter. In a chest in the Hamamatsu region.
Aerial Strike. On the other side of the Spirit Vein in the Hamamatsu region.
Attack Mastery I. In a chest in the Hamamatsu region.
Recoup. In a small cave in the valley in the Hamamatsu region.
Rebounding Surge. On the other side of the Spirit Vein in the Hamamatsu region.
Polished Form And Fortitude I. At the top of the Spirit Vein in the Hamamatsu region.
Running Water. Found in the story Crucible in Hamamatsu. Enter the house to the right of the 3rd lamp and then jump across the lava platform on your left once you come out the other side. The chest with the collectible will be in front of you.
Advantageous Deflect. Continue through the Crucible in Hamamatsu until you cross a thin bone like structure. At the end you will see a shortcut ladder. Go to the right at the top of this ladder and drop down into the house to find the skill.
Sneak Thief. Continue through the Hamamatsu Crucible until you get to the 3rd statue. Here, go around the back of the house on the right and go inside. Then climb up to the top floor and open the chest.
Supreme Parry. Later on in the Hamamatsu Crucible, you will go through a large building and emerge out the top onto another bone-like bridge. After this, go around the building on your left and take another left at the next lamp. Then, enter the building to find the collectible in a chest.
Backstab Life Syphon. In the Maisaka region, you will come across a small village where you have to interact 2 switches to lower the water. After the second switch, climb down into the riverbed and enter the cave where the wraith is. After defeating the wraith, you can pick up the collectible.
Defense Mastery I. In a chest after clearing the Enemy Base in the Maisaka region.
Three Wars Stance. In the cave to the south-east of the Maisaka region. You will see it on the ground on the main path as you go through the blue room
Blade-Breaking Deflect. From the Chamber Of Enlightenment shrine in the cave area, continue forward until you reach a room with some blue mineral platforms on your left. Climb them to the top and the go right to find the chest.
Dodging. From the Chamber of Enlightenment shrine, continue until you come across a snake-type yokai. Here, go left. Then, on the other side of the water, go right and jump across some platforms. To the right of the wraith, you will find a chest that is actually a mimic. Perform the same gesture as the mimic or defeat it.
Physical Art Strike. From the Chamber of Enlightenment shrine, continue on the main path until you come across some slime enemies. The collectible will be in the middle of these enemies.
Ninjutsu Cultivation. A valuable in the Lake Sanaru region.
Resolute Arts. A valuable in the Lake Sanaru region.
Resilient Arts. Found in the Makatagahara Crucible. From the second statue, turn around and cross the destroyed building to find the valuable in the corner on your right.
Weight Bearer. Found in the Makatagahara Crucible. From the final statue, drop down to the path below, where you will find a Nurikabe. Use any positive (blue) gesture to move it. On the other side, take the left path to find the collectible at the end.
Fatal Fists. From the final statue in the Makatagahara Crucible, backtrack to the area where the giant was throwing rocks. Go down to the area with lava below to find the collectible.
Illusory Dragon. In a mimic chest in the Mikatagahara region.
Hollow Form. A valuable in the Hamamatsu Hill region. Can be found inside the hollow tree in the Enemy Base.
Snakebite Technique. In a chest in the Hamamatsu Hill region.
Fortitude II. On the other side of the Spirit Vein in the Lake Hamana region.
Indomitable Spirit. Found in a chest in the Lake Hamana region.
Aerial Mastery. First, get the Pagoda key from behind the Lesser Crucible in the Iinoya region. Then use it to enter the Pagoda that is close by. The chest with the collectible will be on the top floor.
Defense Mastery II. In a chest in the Iinoya region. To get to the village where this chest is found you will first have to start and follow the Those Who Live In The Shadows side quest that can be started near the shrine just north of the village.
Oppressive Strength. In the chest inside the Enemy Base in the Iinoya region.
Attack Mastery II. Climb through the hole in the roof of the building in the Enemy Base in the Iinoya region.
Unarmored Death. Found in a chest in the Iinoya region. As you go through the first building of the temple in the north of the region, enter the second room on your right and break the paper on the wall to reveal a hidden room. The collectible will be inside.
Samurai’s Cloak. In a chest in the Iinoya region. At the top of the tower where you climb the stairs inside.
Spiritualism. In the chest behind the Lesser Crucible in Futamata Road.
The More The Merrier. A valuable in the Futamata region.
Quelling Requiem. In a chest in the Futamata region.
Purify Yokai Realm: Spirit: Behind the Nurikabe in the Futamata region. Use any Neutral gesture (yellow).
Wrathful Dragon. In a mimic chest in the Futamata region.
Versatility. In a chest in the Futamata region.
Awakening. Obtained by finishing the “The Way Of The Onmyo: Novice” Battle Scroll. It can be unlocked after talking to Saito in the Eternal Rift.
Enduring Destruction. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Hamamatsu region.
Enduring Burst. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Maiska region.
Invigorating Arts. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Mikatagahara region.
Enduring Vigor. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Iinoya region.
Double Edged Arts. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Futamata Road region.
1190 CE - Heian
Powerful Shift. In a chest in the Mount Kurama region. Take the left path and jump through the roof of the house.
Butterfly’s Grace. Found in a chest in the Mount Kurama region.
Ki Pulse: Heaven. A valuable in the Kamo Village region.
Supreme Shift. Found in a chest in the Kamo Village region.
Supreme Burst. Found on the other side of the Spirit Vein in the Fuinaokayama region.
Repel Expert. Found in the chest after clearing the Enemy Base in the Funaokayama region. To reach this base you have to approach from the north east.
Dread Bringer. In a chest in the Funaokayama region. Found in the lower part of the bridge.
Artifact Tenacity. Defeat the boss on the bridge in the Sagano region, then use the key to open the temple.
Pufferpuss Tenchinique. A valuable in the Sagano region.
Ki Pulse: Man. A valuable in the Sagano region. Use the Spirit Vein to the east to reach it.
Enduring Arts. In a chest in the Sagano region.
Vigorous Spirit. A valuable in the Sagano region.
Counteroffensive Evade. A valuable in the Nishiichi region.
Ki Pulse: Earth. In a chest in the Nishiichi region.
Favorable Wind. A valuable in the Awawa No Tsuji region.
Ki-Sapping Follow-Up. A valuable in the Hachijo region.
Venomfang Techinque. The valuable behind the Lesser Crucible in the Hachijo region.
Battle Frenzy Kata. In a chest in the Hachijo region.

Mysteries Of Summoning. Can be exchanged with the Sudama in the Nishiichi region.
247 CE - Antiquity
To replay this region, you will have to select the The Spirit Tree Village and the Dark Roots Battle Scrolls.
Tourbillon. In a chest inside a hut in the village.
Single Slash Kata. In the Spirit Tree area. Just after the set of statues firing fireballs, drop down through the hole onto the roots in the next room. This will take you to the battery on the platform above. Use it to open the door on the other side of the room where you will find the valuable.
1622 CE - Return To Edo
No Martial Arts or Ninjutsu in this region.
1864 CE - Bakumatsu
Tempestuous Defelct. Found in a chest in the Shimabara region just before going up the stairs to the shrine.
Long Stride. After going through the main courtyard in the middle of the building, you will go up some stairs and then over a bridge. On the other side of the bridge, go left and then look for a covered hole on your right at the end of the hall. The chest will be in the room on the other side.
Healer. In a chest in the Shichijo region.
Last Stand. In a chest in the Shijo region.
Prelusive Arts. In the story crucible in Sanjo. After going through a short red cave and then through a building, you will come to another cave. Here, look for a Nurikabe on the right side. Use a blue gesture to go through to the chest.
Ninja’s Equilibrium. Found on a rooftop in the Gion region just south of the Gojo Bridge shrine. Approach the building from the south and use the Spirit Vein to reach it.
Evasion Expert. A valuable in the Gion region. Use the Spirit Vein to reach it.
Samurai’s Equilibrium. Valuable in the Gion region.
Deflection Expert. Valuable in the Gion region.
Potent Might Kata. Valuable in the Gion region.
Caltrop Ball. Valuable in the Gion region. Use the Spirit Vein on to reach it.
Flexibility. Use the Spirit Vein and then enter the house on the left.
Full Moon Kata. Valuable in the Kiyomizu region (approach from the Gion region).
Volitional Onmyo Magic. Valuable in the Shirakawa region (watch out for the spider!)
Headwind Blaze. In a chest in the Shirakawa region.
Arts Proficiency Life Siphon. Valuable in the Nijo Castle region.
Artifact Defense. In a chest in the Nijo Castle region.
Rigor Of The Gods. From the Main Gate shrine in the Mibu region, take the Spirit Vein down to the platform with a Wraith on it. Then use the other Spirit Vein to get to the chest.
Bewildering Mist. In a chest in the Mibu region. Drop down to the wooden platforms below the Mibu Temple - Main Hall shrine. To enter the Mibu Temple you must first finish the Peerless Katana side quest.
Concentrated Mist. Found in the story crucible in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region. Soon after the second shrine, you will come to an area with 2 enemies shooting cannons at you. Just past the second cannon, enter the house on the right.
Patience Of The Gods. Found in the story crucible in the Kyoto Imperial Palace region. Right before the final shrine, you will come to an area with water. You can find the text in a chest in a small building on the right side.
Summoning Basics & Amplification. Obtained for finishing the Way of the Onmyo: Veteran Battle Scroll. Available by talking to Saito in the Eternal Rift after finishing the Adept level and getting to the final large region of the game.
Spirit Ascension & Counteroffensive Deflect. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Shichijo region.
Shadow Art Superiority. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Gion region.
Sadowclad & Ninjutsu Link. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Sanjo region.
Mysteries Of Onmyo Magic. Can be purchased from the Sudama in the Nijo Castle region.
1622 CE - Final Battle Of Edo
Ki Pulse Mastery. Jump through the covered hole to the right of the final shrine. Then use the Spirit Vein to get to the building with a hot spring inside. The chest containing the text can be found by going around the side of this building.
