Duskfade Starstone Mines All Collectible Locations
This guide will show you where to find every collectible in Starstone Mines. None are missable, and you can return here at any time, even after finishing the main story. It is recommended that you clean up the collectibles after finishing the story, since you will need certain Metroidvania style abilities to reach some areas and collectibles. These abilities are all obtained automatically as you play through the main story.
Clock Heart Piece #1. From the start, follow the main path until you see a bridge type structure and a large circular blue mechanism on the wall to the right. Here, use the bouncy flower on the right just before the bridge, then cross the top of the bridge to find the chest with the collectible inside.
N1-C0in #1. Now head under the bridge and through to the next area. Here, look for a platform to the right of the massive mushrooms with orange crystals on it. On this same platform you will see a buried chest that you can open with a strong attack after a jump.
Upgrade Gear #1. After the previous collectible, continue forwards and you will emerge back into the room with the bridge. Climb up the rocks on the left to rejoin the main path, and just before going through two arches you will see the collectible in plain sight to the right.
Thieving Kitten #1. Continue through the arches to reach a large open area. As soon as you get there, go down to the right to find an entrance blocked by crystals. Break them with a strong attack and you will find the kitten in the area on the other side.
Flask of Dye #1. On a lily pad in the same area as the kitten.
N1-C0in #1. Return back through the hole that was blocked by crystals and look right to see a grinding rail. Jump on it and, once you see two rails, jump to the left one. After that, try to stick to the rightmost rail so you ride past a lever. Hit it to open the gate just ahead. Go through it and continue on the rails until you reach the end, where you can use a grappling point to reach the collectible.
Upgrade Gear #2. Jump down to the middle area of the large open room to find the Fast Travel Point. Then look for a buried chest behind the glass windows.
Broken Stained Glass #1. From the Fast Travel Point, look for a column and a wooden wall you can jump to. This path will take you through a cave with colourful red flowers in it (the main path). Inside this cave, keep a lookout for a purple door on your right. Just like the previous ones, use the Stopwatch ability to go through it. Then finish the platforming section inside to reach the chest with the collectible in it.
Flask of Dye #2. Continue through the level and you will reach a small town with buildings made of cogs. After using the large cogs at the start to get onto the small bridge you go under to enter, you will head up a wooden path circling around a building. Follow this wooden path all the way to the top to find the collectible.
Echo #1. You will see this one after falling through a broken metal grate in the floor on the main path, as you make your way through the town of cog buildings.
Music Box #1. After going through the town of cog buildings, you will eventually circle back to the entrance (on your first run, this happens because you get the grappling hook ability, which lets you leave). At the entrance, look left to see a small wooden ramp pointing you towards a grappling point. After the second grappling point, look right to see another one that takes you up to the top floor of the open building. You will find the Music Box here.
Echo #2. Follow the main path until you go through a short lava section. After that you will reach a massive room with loads of tall columns. As soon as you enter this area, go left to find the Echo.
Star Core Fragment #1. Start heading through the area with the tall columns by using the grappling points. After the 5th grappling point you will land on top of one of the columns. From here, look right to see some light coming through the roof in the corner of the cave. Fly to it to find the collectible.
N1- C0in. Once you get to the other side of the open room with tall columns you will see the end of the level. Before heading through, turn around to see the coin. Use the small ledge on the side of the column to the left of the coin to reach it.
